Giovanni will look into the cost to have a pig roast. There was some discussion as to whether we should continue with the $5.00 admission charge, or maybe not have any charge at all because we can use the club’s money. Ralph Pezzotti made a motion to charge $5.00 for all adults to attend the picnic & Theresa Cornacchione 2nd the motion. Ennio made an amendment to the motion to use the admission money to have a raffle to give back the money. There was a show of hands & all were in favor.

Starting on June 4th, the first Monday after Memorial Day, we will start our weekly Monday Night Bocce at Lion’s Park at 6pm. Everyone is invited to come & play bocce.

ANNIVERSARY PARTY: Giovanni wanted to know if the members were interested in having our Anniversary Party at the Molisani Club in Euclid. We would have a home-cooked meal, dancing, cash bar & then play bocce as they have three bocce courts. There were some concerns about the drive to get to Euclid. Kay will look into some type of limousine service.

CHRISTMAS PARTY: Dora Quattrocchi & Roseanne Henderson are chairing the event this year. It will be December 7th at Guy’s Party Center at 7pm.

NEW BUSINESS: John Petzker would like to put a bus trip together in the fall. Further information will be coming.

MISCELLANEOUS: As the Radio Station is closed, Giovanni would like to start a newsletter that would focus on the local Akron Italian Community. It would be a paid position, possibly run by a journalism student. He will try to contact the local universities for interested students. Maybe the Italian Council will help support this effort.

Ennio will be conducting the Italian Language Classes at the Falls Library. He asked if Le Radici would like to run this program in the future.

Joe Motta has a contact at an embroidery business in Aurora that can put the Le Radici logo on to a shirt of your choice. The cost would be $11 plus tax. If you would like to bring in your own new shirt to next month’s meeting, Joe will see that the work is done.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:30pm.

Respectfully submitted,
